Sung Hanbin has been announced as the leader of ZEROBASEONE.

Earlier this month the Boys Planet boy group announced their official fandom name as ZEROSE (a portmanteau term for ZERO and ROSE), and now the ZEROBASEONE leader announcement is the latest trending news related to the 5th generation K-pop group. Debuting after their long survival run on Mnet’s reality competition series Boys Planet, on April 20, 2023, 9 members – Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook and Han Yu-jin finally started a new chapter of their lives.

While the boys are gearing up for their mid-year debut down the line, the first order of business was obviously to make way for their official leader. Born on June 13, 2001, ZB1’s Sung Hanbin has been proclaimed the group’s leader. He is fluent in Korean, English and a beginner in Chinese. Taking the second position in the reality completion program, he charmed the audience with his dancing skills back then and is now bracing himself to lead the pack.

On May 11, 2023, the K-pop music act released a candid video titled “ZEROBASEONE Leader Announcement” and revealed Sung Han-bin as their team’s captain. Following the much-awaited revelation, the man of the hour took centre stage and left a message regarding the group’s future and his own contribution to the lot – “I will work to become a leader who can be the pride of my team members, ZEROBASEONE, and ZEROSE. Thank you!”
